Google’s 45W USB Type C charger is next in que to launch in this summer

It will be faster for the Pixel 9 phone’s family to handle.

For a faster charging solution, Google was set to launch all new 45-watt fast charger with Type C port to enhance charging speed and time for the Pixel 9 family. But, before any celebration after testing, it was unveiled that this charger’s capacity to charge faster is something that is beyond the limit of Google’s latest smartphone’s family, the Pixel 9, or you can simply say that it was unable to handle that charging speed.

Before that launch, Pixel 9 family introduced with 27-Watt charger either the Pixel 9 or the Pixel 9 Pro; both come with a 27-watt charging speed. Surprisingly, it comes with less than that of its previous family, ‘Pixel 8’ which was launched with 30-watt charger.

On the other side, Upgraded version of Pixel 9 ‘Pixel 9 Pro XL’ is equipped with 37-Watt charger.

This 37-watt charger is still very fast compared to the Pixel Pro Fold 21-watt charging speed, which is quite unchanged despite the fact that it comes in the supreme premium category of flagship devices by Google.

Previously, Google’s Phones maximum charger in terms of their capacity was 37-watts, which was somehow same as Pixel 8 Pro maximum charging rate. Despite of it, if we talk about newly launched 45-Watt charger it is quite more faster with 8-Watt extra capacity rate then new smartphone Pixel 9 Pro XL and that ease Google to use that charger for the Pixel 10, on parallel note Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 also use 30-Watt charger.

Now, let us have a deep look at Pixel’s family competitors, as Samsung’s premium flagship device is using 45-watt charges to decrease charging time. On the other hand, Chinese smartphone are in their league of own with Redmi premium phone uses 210-Watt charger along with Realme smartphone peaked at 240-watt, which allows smartphones to take only 10 minutes or less to charge from zero to 100. However, in the US, only one company is providing fast charging experience with its OnePlus 12 smartphone, which is charging at 80-Watt.

Google targeted selling this charger for $30, which is quite reasonable if you want to stick with brand-quality. However, if you want to go with a third-party manufacturer, you can easily find a 45-watt Type C charger in between $15 to $20.
